Integrability in the multistate Landau-Zener model with time-quadratic commuting operators

چکیده

Abstract All currently known exactly solvable multistate Landau–Zener (MLZ) models are associated with families of operators that commute the MLZ Hamiltonians and depend on time linearly. There can also be satisfy integrability conditions but quadratically. We show that, among systems, such time-quadratic much more common. demonstrate then generally lead to constraints independent variables parametrize scattering matrix. Such asymptotically exact expressions for transition probabilities in adiabatic limit a three-level model. New complex fully systems found.

The Landau - Zener Model with

We study the dynamics of a spin coupled to an oscillating magnetic field, in the presence of decoherence and dissipation. In this context we solve the master equation for the Landau-Zener problem, both in the unitary and in the irreversible case. We show that a single spin can be " magnetized " in the direction parallel to the oscillating bias. When decay from upper to lower level is taken into...

How Landau-Zener Tunneling Takes Time

We calculate the time evolution of Landau-Zener tunneling for atoms in an accelerating optical lattice. Analytical expressions are obtained that are in good agreement with a recent observation of nonexponential decay. We identify new experimental regimes that show a crossover from strong coherent oscillations to exponential decay in the temporal evolution of the survival probability. We establi...

The Landau-Zener formula.

The Landau-Zener formula for the probability that a nonadiabatic transition has taken place is derived without solving directly the usual second-order differential equation. This is achieved in just a few steps by using contour integration.

Landau–Zener–Stückelberg interferometry

A transition between energy levels at an avoided crossing is known as a Landau–Zener transition. When a two-level system (TLS) is subject to periodic driving with sufficiently large amplitude, a sequence of transitions occurs. The phase accumulated between transitions (commonly known as the Stückelberg phase) may result in constructive or destructive interference. Accordingly, the physical obse...

Investigation of Temperature Effect in Landau-Zener Avoided Crossing

Considering a temperature dependent two-level quantum system, we have numerically solved the Landau-Zener transition problem. The method includes the incorporation of temperature effect as a thermal noise added Schrödinger equation for the construction of the Hamiltonian. Here, the obtained results which describe the changes in the system including the quantum states and the transition pro...
